Believe in Your Life - Live as You Believe
In our modern and hectic lives it is painfully easy to just slip around the corner
to the local fast food outlet and get your meal from there.
Convenient, but not healthy or over time, it’s very expensive.
Many will come up with the story that they don’t have the time or simply don’t know
how to cook.
Neither of these is a real reason for acting the way we do. In the time it has taken
to go down the road and buy supper for your or your family, a much more nourishing
meal could have been made at home.
You haven’t got time - then make it before it is too late. Change the way you live
so that you can pour your own love into the meals that you have taken the time to
prepare.
You can’t cook - then find out how to do the basic things, it really isn’t all that
difficult.
On both counts you will be amazed just how good home made food actually tastes.
It isn’t always possible, but buy fresh vegetables (organic if you can) and eat less
meat. Vegetables are easy to digest and meat takes some time and can generate a lot
of our diseases.
Ask God for help with ideas and astonish yourself, and others!
If you are really going to be able to progress you need to promote a level of calm in your daily life.
Too often we allow the theme of a hectic lifestyle to intercede in our schedule and everything then will become rather hurried and even desperate.
If we look at the word ‘Wellbeing’ we will find that it has many meanings, amongst them health, comfort, security and welfare.
But, for many of us a healthy life style cannot be achieved for several reasons. Everything is hurried, including eating our meals. We do not spend leisurely time actually enjoying our daily meal and we should. We must!
If we eat in a hurried manner it does not give our digestion time to properly digest the very food we have eaten. This then means that our bodies are not taking all the goodness out of the food that we really need - even if we are eating the best of produce!
It is better if we can genuinely find the time to eat in a leisurely manner and by doing so the food will taste better, we will enjoy it more, we will find that eventually we will eat less and as a consequence, we will weigh less and so have to spend less time either worrying about being too heavy or having to go the the gym.
And you will feel the benefit.
Man cannot live by love alone, but equally, he cannot live by fat alone either.
Such a simple thing as giving yourself a little time during the day will make you feel so much better, and this feeling will seem to be out of proportion to the amount of time you spent!
Wellbeing is also about our attitude. We are all free to choose goodness and worth, but instead we generally pick jealousy, hate and resentment instead.
These latter emotions will have the effect of lowering our self esteem, and by so doing will also make us feel more uncomfortable.
In turn they will also cause some degree of stress, and stress I am sure you are aware will destroy any feeling of wellbeing you might of had.
Look again at wellbeing - health and comfort- we can achieve that by being sensible with our diet and exercise. Security and welfare are both by products of a contented person.
Be content with your lot, ask God for help in achieving this. You will be given some great ideas on how to improve your life if you use this free and readily available source of advice.
Remember that it is not tainted by someone else’s own ideas!
Eating well and healthily does not mean eating boringly and expensively. Usually
it’s the opposite !
